Traveling by electric bike is an incredibly fun and safe way to cover a lot of ground and take in some stunning views at the same time. While we do ask our guests to pedal a bit, it is the electric bike that does most all of the work. This allows us to soak up the beautiful scenery around us. We will also be visiting some areas that most tourist are not familiar with. And of course, we will learn a bit about Bend and the Deschutes River along the way!

I had booked in advance about a week ahead I had been confirmed everything was going great up until about three days before my tour and arrival I was told to book off the website by my guide he sent me his personal number after I canceled my reservation and was trying to book as he asked. I felt a little uneasy and then decided to keep my reservation on the website that I found him I was told before not a problem if I am a solo traveler and it would be a solo tour. He usually doesn’t do solo tours but in my case he would that the site does not regulate if it’s only a one person on the tour after I felt that I wanted to stay on the site for my reservation then direct he messaged me that he would no longer be able to take me on a tour because it was not worth his time of the % that the company takes I had the text message he would take me no matter what. I contacted customer service I was very very upset I was told to just go and if the guide does not show up that they would give me a full refund, he did show up! By the time my tour came up there were 2 other people on my tour this is beyond uncalled for the stress it did cause I will say that my tour was good not so much education and knowledge of the area but it was fun. This my birthday trip I was not so happy with the setup ahead of time! Not so professional

Shayna, thank you for your review, however, please allow me to explain what happened. And I am confident (or at least hopeful) that any prospective clients will see the roughly 75 out of 75 FIVE-star reviews below this and quickly realize that you are an outlier or what one might call a "challenging" client. First, it clearly states in the tour description that we may not be able to accommodate a solo traveler but will do everything possible to make that happen. Typically, because our electric bike tour is incredibly popular, we can pair a solo traveler with a group. In your situation we did not have another booking until just a few days before May 19th (your tour date). I had made it VERY clear on May 6th (when you booked and 13 days prior to your tour) that it is possible we may not be able to accommodate you if nobody else joined. You are correct that Airbnb (as well as all platforms) take a sizeable commission - to the point that it is not economically beneficial to take a solo rider. Fortunately, we have not had to do that. As far as your comment about communicating by phone, that is called customer service. When a client books a tour, we immediately thank them for booking as I did for you and then ensure that they know the meeting location by sending a pin with the exact directions. I also thank each and every client afterwards for booking the tour. And often in between, I provide restaurant suggestions as well as other ideas for fun activities in and around Bend, which everyone seems to truly appreciate. I find it interesting that you think communicating via text was strange, yet you texted me how fantastic the ebike tour was that evening of the 19th as well as a video clip of your horseback riding tour the following day?? I'm truly sorry you were disappointed, as I strive for 100% satisfaction with all of my clientele. Thank you again for joining the tour!

This bike ride was beautiful! Nice bikes and great instruction included in this tour. Beautiful way to see the city as you cruise along the river! Scott is a great guide and he coached us through each challenge and made it so much fun. We would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to get outdoors and enjoy the scenery. Thanks for a day to remember.
