While Elvis Presley became the biggest name in music history and achieved worldwide fame and fortune, his roots in the Northeast Mississippi city of Tupelo were humble. Guests will experience the rural setting of Elvis' upbringing and see where it all began in the two-room house where the King of Rock ‘n' Roll was born on January 8, 1935, the church he attended in his youth, and see artifacts from his modest beginnings. Sit back and relax on a luxury motorcoach for this narrated 8-hour excursion departing every Friday from The Guest House at Graceland in Memphis to Tupelo, Mississippi.

The bus was super comfortable. The guides were very knowledgeable. We would have liked more time to visit his birthplace. We felt like we were very rushed. We had to wait for the restaurant to get our lunch ready. That time could have been used for more time to sight see at his birthplace. Overall, great trip.

Amazing experience, not to be missed it as though Elvis has never left the building. So much to see and feel part of this Icons past. You will not be disappointed.

I wasn't a big fan of Elvis before the trip to Memphis and Nashville, but I've left with a great appreciation for his talent and career and will be enjoying more of his music. Despite some areas for improvement, this is a favourite memory from our recent trip. Our visit to Graceland was enjoyable. I especially liked seeing several of his cars, hand-written notes, family history, and the Lisa Marie exhibit. I do feel that the exhibits could be better presented when compared to something like exhibits found at the CMHF (Country Music Hall of Fame), but the content of the exhibits was excellent. A simple example would be that many of the vehicles were sitting on flat tires, which gave the impression of a lack of care --vs CMHF, where they had cars in pristine condition, elevated off the ground, with lights showcasing the interior and doors often open for a better view. Our tour of the house was especially enjoyable, and it tied everything together really well. I also enjoyed walking through the airplanes, but it was disappointing that so much was blocked off, which I understand is for preservation purposes. It is sad to see the planes' condition deteriorating, and it would also be nice if there were photos and displays inside showing the various areas in use by Elvis and his family, along with stories to provide perspective. I did not opt for the audio tour option, but I will probably do that if I visit again. If you're an Elvis Fan and happen to be in Nashville, too, I'd suggest doing a Studio B tour as it is heavily focussed on Elvis' career and nicely compliments a visit to Graceland.
