We signed up for an "Evening Investigation," having done only two investigations in Gettysburg previously with a different tour group. I was a little skeptical about a completely outdoor investigation and whether it would be as interesting as others we've done in the past.
I think a lot of this comes down to the tour guide himself/herself. In our case, we were led by Clinton who went out of his way to make our night great! I immediately felt welcomed and knew right away that we had an exciting and fun night ahead of us. It was also perfect only having 10 or less people in the group. I think we had around 8 people in our group this night.
We went to three different locations (Sach's Bridge, "Suicide Bridge," and The Grove) and spent adequate time at each place. The tour went from 9-midnight which was perfect.
Clinton is experienced, and spent a lot of time explaining the concepts of ghost hunting, the equipment used, how to interact with the spirits, along with stories of what happened at each location.
We weren't rushed around, and I felt more confident in trying the different equipment than I had in past tours. Clinton was always more than happy to answer questions and to guide us along. He knew what questions to ask the spirits at each location and my wife and I were surprised at all the activity we were able to observe!
For someone who is open minded, but skeptical, I was amazed at some of the things we saw and felt throughout the evening. The proof was right there in front of me and things could not always be explained by natural causes.
I felt very satisfied with our investigation/tour and the value of the tour based on the money we paid. I would definitely recommend this to others looking to learn something about the haunted history in the area and just to enjoy ghost hunting in general.
