Lucky did a wonderful job of taking our small group through the Pike Place market for tastings, as well as providing information on so many topics related to the Seattle region. Great way to start your morning in Seattle... highly recommend.

Sarah was our tour guide and she was very knowledgeable about the history of the market. We had a small group which allowed time for more questions. She even took the time to walk me back to one of the vendors that we sampled goods from. I definitely think the tour is worth the money. If possible go in the early stage of your visit. This will allow you to circle back to hit some of your shops of interest

This “tour” was touted as the “Early Access VIP Food Tour of Pike Place Market”. There was nothing “early” nor “VIP” about the access or tour. Everything was already open and the market was completely packed with people. We definitely did not feel like any sort of “VIP”. The guide zipped through so fast that he left people behind. They were looking around for him trying to figure out where he went. Rather than information about the Market itself, he seemed more interested in telling us stories about himself, all his college degrees, and how amazing “he” was. And then he would look at his watch, tell us he had another tour soon and that we all needed to hurry up to our next stop. And the “jokes” he made throughout the tour were vulgar and in extremely poor taste…definitely not for mixed company. My wife and I nearly walked away from the tour completely. I think we were both a little curious to see how it would end. My recommendation would be for you to save your money and to find a different tour or just do it yourself. You’d learn more about the market and enjoy it more by walking the market on your own with an $8.00 guide book. We ended up doing exactly that. Definitely steer clear of this one.

We are so sorry to hear that you were so disappointed. This tour is designed to take advantage of vendors that are open early, and we do arrange the food tastings in advance so there should be very little waiting. But it is true that we are unable to visit most of our partners before they are open for the day. And unfortunately, you took the tour during the very busiest time of the entire year in the Market, when there is very little one can do to avoid crowds completely - even first thing in the morning. We also hope to provide a 'VIP' vibe for our guests, and regret that was not your experience. A great part of the value of a tour is the expertise of the tour guide, but if the guide is not providing the tour you expect then we can see how you would feel it wasn't worth the price.
