Explore New Orlean's history on a guided our of Oak Alley Plantation. Learn all about plantation life from your traditionally-dressed tour guide and see antique farm machinery up close. Marvel at the long-standing and impressive 28 oak trees that line the road leading up to the main plantation house.

Benefit from pick-up at your accommodation in New Orleans, and then make your way to the Oak Alley Plantation in Vacherie for your guided walking tour of its grounds. Located on the banks of the Mississippi River, Oak Alley was named after the 28 huge oak trees that line the road leading up to – and pre-dating – the plantation house.

Admire the Greek Revival architecture of the main plantation house, built in the 19th century for one of the wealthiest families of the South. See original features, including antique farm machinery, and avail of amenities such as a restaurant and souvenir shop.

We were not told pickup would be between 8 & 8:30, so we rushed to wait. Our driver made the long drive out, entraining. Sadly, we spent more time driving (1 hour each way) than touring the grounds (30 minute guided mansion tour, 30 minute slave quarter self guided tour).

Sorry you didn’t enjoy your tour at Oak Alley Plantation. The pickup time is on the confirmation emails we send out. You should have received 2 emails, the first one on the day of your booking and second email 24 hours before your tour time. Thanks for your review!

Loved it all. The driver was so informative and had a great sense of humour. The plantation itself was really beautifully maintained and the guide was excellent

We had a great time visiting Oak Alley Plantation. Dionne was very knowledgable about the area and kept us entertained during the drive. She took us by many other plantations that you don't get to see on other tours. Highly recommend N'awlins Luxury Tours and especially Dionne!
