Our guide will showcase a couple of movies that were filmed inside the Capitol or that used it as a backdrop, and discuss one famous actor and singer that you may know! We do not go into the Capitol.

St. Mary's Cathedral

We showcase films and a well-known Austin director that have used this church as a backdrop for their films. We also talk about a couple of studios in the Austin area. We do not enter the church.

Paramount Theatre

We showcase films that have been filmed inside the theatre, discuss the significance of the stars in the front, cover a short history of the theatre, and showcase another famous Texas actor. Does that sound, "Alright, alright, alright?"

The Driskill

We showcase a couple of films that have used this hotel as a backdrop and go over a short history of the building.

6th Street

We take a short trip down 6th, showcasing films that gavae directors their big debut and showcasing actors right before they became famous!

Austin Convention Center

We showcase a couple of films that have been filmed here and discuss the creator of Beavis & Butthead.

Willie Nelson Statue

Did you know Willie Nelson was a film star? We talk about his role in Austin movie history then discuss other nearby areas where films were set.

Interesting tour that shows you the places where the film action happens. I spent a Saturday afternoon walking by the Austin City realizing that the film industry is set in Austin since long time ago. Nathalia has gathered extensive information that will give you context of the filmmaking evolution since western movies until now-days movies.

I really enjoyed this tour! It was interesting seeing the buildings where some movies were shot. I loved the one for Miss Congeniality. I had not seen that building before when I visited Austin other times before. It was a good walk and we were entertained along the way.
