Asheville is known for Beer and Nature! We combine the two. This is a fun trip to bar hop by raft. We will casually float down river and take out 2 or 3 times to hit up some local bars and breweries. I will have a cooler with ice and you are welcome to bring your own beverages along.

This tour follows along the river and requires climbing up some muddy river banks and descending stairs.

We will relax and enjoy cold beverages and river views. We will stop at The Wedge Brewery at the Foundation and grab some food from the food truck. We will end at New Belgium Brewery.

I recommend parking at Hominy Creek River Park and then taking a ride share to retrieve your vehicle when you are safe to drive. You can leave your vehicle overnight there if you need to. We will meet you by the stairs to the river.

Other things to note:
Must be comfortable with water. Kids at least 15 can accompany their parents but obviously will not be able to consume alcohol. Gratuity for the guide is appreciated.

Great tour. Group was a lot of fun. Tour guide was great! Stops showed good cross section of River Arts District. 12 Bones and the Wedge had great BBQ and Beer. End of line is New Belgium Brewing…great end point.

We had a great time canoeing and learning about the breweries we stopped at. We really enjoyed the time at 12 Bones and The Wedge. The guide was funny and informative!

This was so fun! Tim was an excellent guide and had all sorts of great info on the area, breweries, bars, etc. We didn't get wet at all (some on our raft thought we would). It was the perfect amount of time on the river and at each stop. We brought some beers for the trip but only drank 2 each, you don't need to bring a bunch. Ending at New Belgium was great, there were food trucks and a big shaded outdoor seating area. Some from our group had 2 cars. They left one car at New Belgium (end of the tour) so they could drive the rest of the group to the car they parked at the meeting place for the start of the tour. This is not necessary, it's a nice walk back along the greenway to the the start where our car was parked.
