This is a great overview walking tour of historic Philly near and around Independence Hall/The liberty Bell. Keep in mind you'll need to visit those landmarks on your own as they are not included and require long wait times and/or tickets to enter. Having taking many walking tours in various cities around the world, I know how important the personality of the tour guide is. Sam was wonderful -- Light hearted, funny, provided interesting lesser-known facts, able to maintain the interest of 13 year-olds. It was a small group of 12 which allowed us to ask questions, which Sam welcomed. It was also great to sit and have a beer (included in price) with him at the end of the tour. He had a lot of cute stories about Philly and he seemed passionate about history and the birth of democracy - He also did a wonderful job of talking about slavery and how important it is to appreciate how our Founding Fathers came up short as well. The tour company itself seems very reputable and the Hub had restrooms and really friendly hosts.

Felt like this activity was a waste of time and money. We were very disappointed and would have preferred to just get my money back. The guide was nice, but he didn't really provide much historical information about each of the locations. We squinted to see some of the sights advertised as part of the walking tour when the tour guide pointed them out from a distance. I would have rather taken a better closer look at Christ Church than Shane's chocolate shop. This is advertised as a historical "appetizer" tour... but we received random city information and little history. Equivalent to a google search of historical things to see in Philadelphia. Save your money.

Thank you very much for your feedback. We're disappointed, and frankly, very surprised to hear about your experience on one of our tours. It's certainly out of character of our experienced team. That said, we've taken your feedback seriously and have already addressed it with our team. No one should come away from a tour thinking it was a waste of time and money, and we're sorry that you had that impression from the tour. We're always striving to improve, and we guarantee our travelers not only get what they paid for, but that their experience exceeds the expectations of the itinerary. Please feel free to reach out directly and we will happily assist in facilitating a refund. Thank you again for the feedback and we hope to be better for every future traveler.

Our tour guide Tim was extremely knowledgeable about American History. He managed to get a lot of information and sights crammed into a 2 hour tour. He was very pleasant to deal with. Our family had a great time!
