I HIGHLY suggest anyone visiting the area book a tour of the Freedom Trail with Ted from Hub Town Tours! I recently did the Chapter 2: Rebellion tour, and plan to go back for the remaining chapters. Ted was incredibly knowledgeable and highly enthusiastic, which made the tour that much more interesting and fun! Being on this tour made me wish I paid a bit more attention in history class back in high school. If you book a tour, I can promise that you won't be disappointed!

I would highly recommend a tour with Ted from Hub Town Tours! My friends and I partook in Chapter 2: Rebellion. Having done other tours of the Freedom Trail, Ted packs in more historical context and paints a picture of the current political sentiments during the years leading up the Revolutionary War. He's a vibrant storyteller using quotes, images, and maps from primary sources to help orient you to events and bring you directly into that moment in history. Although a public tour, the group was still small and intimate without feeling like you're walking with a mob (big plus!), allowing us to easily hear Ted and see his props during the entire 2-hour tour. My friends and I are all current Bostonians and life-long New Englanders, and we learned so many fun facts about our city like how Boston's modern neighborhoods differ drastically from the original peninsula in the 1700's. This tour is perfect for tourists new to Boston, current residents hoping to learn more, and history scholars. We loved spending time the afternoon with Ted!

This tour was extremely informative and fun. I have lived in Boston for my entire life and still learned so much from our wonderful tour guide. He was so knowledgable and provided many interesting stories about the revolution while seeing sites along the Freedom Trail. This is a must do for people visiting as well as those from the area!
