It was a beautiful relaxing day to tour the entire island. Our tour guide, Katrice, was patient, knowledgeable of the island, and fun to be with throughout the excursion. We could not have ask for a better day or tour guide!

We just completed the full tour to Hana including the return trip around the “backside” of the island. The sites were amazing. Lots of full flowing water falls. Unbelievable variations in foliage was amazing pointed out by a really great driver/guide - Jerry. His knowledge of island and its history made this a wonderful trip. Marcos was a placed we stopped at for breakfast. Great food and service. Highly recommend this trip.

We were picked up by our driver, Jeff Shaw, right at 0645 and then off to Kahului (all roads seem to begin and end in Kahului!) for included breakfast at Marco's. Jeff then took us on the road and started out going through Pa'ia which was an international village for many years. Stopped at a large number of beaches with white, black and even red sands with not a bad spot anywhere for "post card" quality photos. We stopped for lunch at the Hana Ranch Restaurant which is a completely al fresco dining experience with items such as mahi mahi fish and Maui beef on the menu as well as the catch of the day. We were glad he drove as the road has over 600 sharp turns and 60 single lane bridges - he enjoyed pointing out either tourists having problems or hotshot truckers that could not negotiate the road! (Jeff has lived in Maui for 21 years and driven for Maui Seasons for five.) Hana itself is TINY but unique! One gas station, one bank, one store, and one combination police/fire station. We also took "the Other Road to Hana" which has a long stretch of dirt road as well as hundreds of feral goats running around on it. Many little isolated villages along the way as well as many views of both the coastline and the dominating Haleakala volcano. We arrived back at our hotel a bit after 1600. Great day out with a highly knowledgable driver on both the route, Maui, and Hawaiian history!
