It all started when a 4th of July birthday rafting trip in Oklahoma that we were going on with our daughter and her friends fell through.
I remember seeing people rafting on the Yellowstone River the four or five times that we have visited Yellowstone through the North Entrance. I thought that it might be a great idea to give this a shot and it might also be a better experience.
I then asked my wife if she thought that our daughter would like this trip since the other one fell through. We agreed & then we asked our daughter.
She reluctantly agreed because of the long trip from Oklahoma.
we went and it was awesome!!!!
From checking in & making a walk up reservation to the guides and their jokes.
All of the guides were great (Ours was Hayden. He was a hoot)
We starting off with the safety class before the trip and,..........
then I started having second thoughts about what have I gotten ourselves into as we blasted into the first cold as hell waves and rapids.......... LOL
then blasting through some more waves and rapids
eating lunch, hitting more rapids and finally
JUMPING OFF THE BRIDGE and finally
riding the bus back with all the guides telling jokes.
This all day trip was well worth the drive from Oklahoma and we'll be doing this again.
We are all glad the other trip fell through.
one last thing
MAKE SURE THAT YOU TIP YOUR GUIDES.
