My two kids and I visited BCO with a larger group of family. First of all this is a repurposed property, having been an older gas station somewhere in the past near the road portion . Second of all, this is a great location just off of I75 and the property is being handled in a respectful manner as well as providing a recreational opportunity. (Keep it up guys!)
We did the canopy tour with 6 zip lines, 3 bridges, one spiral staircase, a floating staircase, and a good two hours of easy fun. The guides were knowledgeable and very safety conscious. Good stories about Daniel Boone hiding out in caves on the property, white oak and bourbon barrels, and the previous owner bottling and selling sulfur well water were good to keep our interests. But the two highlights were the longest zip lines: Big Chief (1400ft long, 150-200ft vertical) and Little Chief (900ft long, 100-150ft vertical). Serious airtime and speed.
I understand the owners have more plans and I wish them well. I hope to come back and maybe hike, wade in the creek, and take a look at those caves.
Recommended for a 2hr getaway in the trees. Listen to nature and the wind whip by your ears.
