TC is an amazing storytelling!!! We have done many walking tours around various cities and this one stands out. TC is extremely engaging and informative. He has a passion for Savannah that is contagious. TC does a great job of connecting various historical events with the buildings and landmarks. He utilizes technology to show pictures and share music that is instrumental in telling the story of Savannah. We would highly recommend this tour.

This was a fantastic tour. TC was great, very entertaining, great story teller. He really knows his history and he knows how to tell it in an interesting and engaging way. He is passionate about Savannah and hearing about how it started and his experiences living there made us fall in love with the city even more. The earbuds were a huge plus. Being able to hear him no matter where we were in relation to him was great. He had an iPad and would pull up pics of significant people of the past and places we were stopped so we could see what it looked like old vs new. Great experience!

I've done walking tours and I've done those tacky "ghost tours" with actors and gimmicks (which I find very disrespectful to the departed). This tour is not tacky or disrespectful, it is historical storytelling of the past tragedies of locations around Savannah. TC was our guide and his love for the history of Savannah was very apparent. I loved that he shared personal stories and experiences from his and his family's life in Savannah. Gentell & Bard use audio receivers and single-use earbuds, this allows you to not only keep a safe distance from the other guests, but it also allows you to fully hear everything TC was saying without him having yell. I think this offers a much better experience. You can wander around the area and look at the sites and still hear everything that is being said as well, as I think it helps to disperse the group, so we don't block the walkways for the locals (I should imagine that must get annoying having crowds of tourist blocking your path). TC took the time in the beginning of the tour to ask each group a little about themselves and during the tour, he would remember these details and bring things up that might pertain to you. I think if you are looking for a spooky or gruesome ghost story type of tour, this may not be for you. I wouldn't hesitate to book this tour again and I will definitely be recommending Genteel & Bard to anyone and everyone that comes to Savannah. Thanks, TC you really made it a wonderful night.
