This tour was absolutely incredible! I was captivated by our tour guides knowledge and I was entertained the entire time. I have been on historical tours all over the world and have many times found myself distracted and un-entertained but this tour will keep you completely tuned in! TC told us of his past career in radio and he has mixed this background into the tours he gives. He gives you a headset so that even if you wonder or walk away from the group to get closer to a building he may be talking about, you can still hear every word he is saying. It was a very interactive tour and you will truly be missing out if you don't make this tour apart of your time here in Savannah. TC is so knowledgeable and has intensely done his research on Savannah's history. I honestly want to go again next week! I HIGHLY recommend this tour!

I learned so much more about the city of Savannah in just a few short hours of walking around the historic district. The tour guide was well educated on most of the buildings histories, and I now have a deeper respect for Savannah's rich history

Wanting a good walking tour of Savannah, we selected The Best Savannah Tour purely by chance, as T.C., the company owner, had dropped off brochures at the inn we were staying at. The brochure looked as good as any other, so we figured why not? The meeting place for the afternoon tour was at City Market, but no customers seemed to be around, so I called the number on the brochure. T.C. said there were no advance bookings and thus didn't go to the Market, but he said he would be there in 20 minutes. After brief introductions, T.C. equipped my wife and me with the latest (it appeared) in tour technology: a wireless gadget that allowed him to present his narrative while we listened with earbuds. Transmitting through his iPad, T.C. also played some theme music as well as the voices of historical re-enactors along the way to highlight various personalities and events. The iPad was also used to to show pictures of notable figures and buildings from Savannah's past, including the bus stop scene from the movie "Forrest Gump". The intended 90+ minute tour turned into a leisurely 2 1/2 hour shamble that was delightfully informative. We appreciated the relaxed pace which allowed for so much conversation between guide and tourists. (Full disclosure: I also am a tour guide and especially enjoy escorting small groups, which allows for this kind of personal attention.) I only wish we had the chance to explore other parts of this city in the same manner that T.C. did. Here's wishing him all the best in providing visitors with great tours of Savannah!
