Walk the back roads of Gatlinburg and learn about its haunted history and folklore on this nighttime tour. With a guide, you'll learn how you, too, can capture paranormal photos. Use ghost-hunting equipment like you see on tv to potentially communicate with ghosts along the way.
The tour is an outdoor walking tour as such there is plenty of room for social distancing and masks are optional, It is wheelchair and stroller accessible and service animals are allowed.
Unfortunately, due to the late completion time, the Trollys don’t run that late but we do offer free parking and of course, taxis and Uber, Lyft are available.
The walk is about one mile all on flat paved ground spread out over 2 hours with lots of stops so a messy relaxing walk but no places to sit or restrooms are available during the tour.
This is not a private tour groups can be as large as the upper 20’s in the busiest times but average in the high teens to low 20’s.

I went on this tour to appease my husband. We started at a great resort, very cozy by the fire. Our guide Deidre greeted us and was very friendly. We had a small group so she made sure that each type of ghost hunting equipment they use was taken on the tour with us and she let us use different things throughout the tour. It was interesting history that Gatlinburg keeps quiet about and even some recent stories that I had never heard about even though we are in the area often. We had a box that talked and had words that came up. It literally talked about what we were talking about as if it were participating in our conversations. One time it even said things about a story she was telling before she started telling it. We didn't get a lot in our pics maybe a few orbs. We did get to see recent photos of ghost actual faces from the wedding chapel area that seems to have the most activity. We will do this tour again and hope to see our guide again too! Great story teller!

Ghost hunting is hit or miss in my opinion and I feel this tour gave good opportunity for "hit". They provide you with a variety of ghost hunting equipment which a lot of tours either dont provide or require you to rent. Our guide was very knowledgeable of the history of the area as well as a lot of places were past activity had been reported. We got a picture of what we believe to be an orb and had a lot of activity on the ghost hunting equipment.

Im not sure what I was expecting, but this wasn't it. They provide real ghost hunting equipment but ours didn't work. We used it for 5 minutes and the battery died. It was completely unusable the rest of the walk. Oh and don't get excited about the "200 year old cemetery" they advertise. They don't go there anymore but still advertise it as part of the tour. It's a nice tour if you like hearing ghost stories but if you're looking for an actual haunted experience, don't take this tour. You just walk around town, stopping on occasion to listen to a long ghost story. That's about it. Our tour guide kept saying over and over how scared she was of the paranormal and if we saw anything in our pictures not to show her because she'd run away. Really? She also said her own husband doesn't believe in this stuff at all. $20+ per person, then you have to tip the tour guide at the end so my boyfriend and I spent $50 for a disappointing event. Don't do it.
