From start to finish, the members of Maverick Helicopters were awesome. There was no long waiting periods. Punctual and reliable, very friendly and welcoming staff. Great views from the sky. Seating in the helicopter was very comfortable and there were seven of us (including the pilot). Visiting the Grand Canyon in late December, it was chilly and windy but still a beautiful site. Pilot flew low enough to get great photos and video footage. I love that I can take live footage back to my students and give them a simulated virtual tour of this experience.

Big shout out to "Texas" who was our pilot for making me feel first of all safe but also for providing a fun trip. I was hesitant because I have never been in a helicopter but Texas our pilot was very reassuring. I liked how everyone got to take turns sitting up front. My husband and two college age children all agreed this was our favorite activity when visiting Vegas. It is pricey but worth the experience. Thank you Texas for making my son's birthday a very memorable one.

From collection to return this company excelled. Ken the driver was polite and punctual, the short trip to Mavericks dedicated departure lounge was spot on. The departure lounge was very smart and everything you needed whilst excitedly waiting for the trip out. Tyler was our pilot, who made the epic trip just that little bit cooler! A very cool pilot, who explained all the nessesary safety and interest points on the way out to the canyon, (lake mead, hover dam, Boulder City etc). We went at a quiet time of year (one other couple on the tour, we swapped seating about half way through the tour), and got to sit in the front as we shot the rim of the canyon which was amazing, the weather was glorious, and the stop at the bottom of the canyon was very peaceful and awe inspiring. A short flight up out of the canyon up to the Indian reserve to do the skywalk and trips round eagle and guano point. Here you do get left by your Maverick pilot to do as you please, so just jump on the regular busses that are moving everyone between the points of interest. Very quick and easy, the meal is provided by the Indian reserve, nothing fancy but was tasty, (stewed beef and mash potato). Eagle point and the skywalk are ok, but don't spend too much time there, the best views of the canyon are from Guano point! We had 2 hours to explore, which was plenty, back to the helicopter before our return trip back through the bowl of fire and on to a flight down the strip to end a once in a lifetime trip. Maverick were not the cheapest tour operator, but simply cannot fault their service, money well spent. Amazing.
