Wally made all the annoying things less noticeable. He was incredibly knowledgeable and informative. It would have been better if we weren't stopping at the same time as all the other tour busses to cut down on time spent on stops. The stops definitely could have been more staggered on the way out there. This did make the 6 hour ride less long going out. Also the education of what we were about to see helped make things more interesting. I don't think every moment of time needed to be filled with something though.(ie: Wally talking, or a movie, or an educational film etc) Sometimes silent reflection is best.
At the end of the tour, dropping us all off at one location and being responsible for our own rides to our respective destinations would have been better for everyone involved, especially for Wally. It just makes a long day even longer and there are less considerate riders who take their time getting off at their stop even despite Wally's NUMEROUS preparation details and urging to be prepared for their upcoming stop for the sake of time.
Wally did not leave anything to assumption. He told us what to do, then told us what to expect, asked if we had questions and then waited to see if we had questions to address individually if need be and repeated anything as necessary. He was always informative, patient and available and seemed genuinely concerned.
