The tour is ok, you would get very less time to see the Grand Canyon. The itenary could have been better.
There is no need to stop at the Hoover dam because Hoover Dam is barely visible from the place where the bus stops. We could easily save 30 mins here. If the bus needs to stop, it needs to be in the parking near to the dam so that we could walk and take pictures. At Grand Canton as well, the bus stopped at the lodge and to go to the Mather Point (near visitor center) from which the Grand Canyon is best visible it takes another 20-25 mins. So it takes 40-50 mins to go and come back to the bus parked at the lodge out of 2.5 hours we get to see the Grand Canyon. It would have been better if the bus would have stopped at the visitor center instead of the lodge.
Total Activity Time - 2.5 hrs (Grand Canyon) + 40 mins (Hoover Dam) + 30 mins (Route 66) = 3.5 hrs
Wasted Time - 30 mins (Hoover Dam) + 45 mins (Grand Canyon - to/fro Bus to Visitor Center) = 1.25 hrs.
1.25 hours out of 3.5 hours are wasted due to poor itenary, which is roughly 30% of the time. Effectively I am only enjoying the trip for only 2 hours, which includes the pit stop at route 66.
