Fort Worth Water Gardens
The urban park is frequently billed as a "cooling oasis in the concrete jungle" of downtown. Its focal points are three pools of water and a terraced knoll, which helps to shield the park from the rest of the City. The quiet, blue meditation pool is encircled with cypress trees and towering walls that are covered in thin plane of water that cascades almost 90 degrees down to the sunken blue water feature. The sound of the water on the walls evokes thoughts of a gentle rain shower. The aerating pool features multiple illuminated spray fountains under a canopy of large oak trees. The main attraction of the Water Gardens is the active pool, which has water cascading 38 feet (11 m) down terraces and steps into a small pool at the bottom. The active pool experience was built for people to be able to walk down the terraced steps to be surrounded by and experience the power, sounds and motion of water crashing around them.

This was just an expense ride to the stock yard. It was not guided. They drop us off at the stock yard and said we will be back at 1 to pick you up. As well as running. Late because others on the tour where late and we had to wait for them they also drop people off at the Stadium so by the time you even get there it doesn't give you much time at the stock yards either. You are better off to just uber there. We actually canceled our pick up and just took a uber back to our hotel. The stock yards themselves are amazing and fun. Just wouldn't waste money on this. As it was not guided at all.

Experienced the half-Day Guided Best of Fort Worth Historical Tour. Orlanda was our guide and driver and was full of interesting facts about Dallas and Fort Worth. It was nice that Orlando grew up in a Dallas family and could provide family insights of the area. We stopped at the new Arlington baseball field to drop off one passenger for the tour. A second stop in Fort Worth to see the Water Gardens and the JFK parking lot speech was next. Then we went to the Fort Worth Stockyards. The cattle drive was a little overrated, but that may have been because the Stockyards were very crowded on a lovely Saturday afternoon. A van of 6 people is a nice group because there was ample time to ask questions and it was much more comfortable than a large tour bus. If you are interested in the amount of walking or standing required, this tour was quite accessible and my 86 year old father really enjoyed it. Orlando had a mic that projected his voice and music into the van in case you have hearing challenges.
