The Blue Heron Fleet was established in 1955 by Capt. Harry Nagel. The fleet has been family owned and operated with the third generation currently at the helm. Blue Heron offers excellent year round fishing at a great price.

The vessels are the largest and most comfortable in the area. Vessels are custom built aluminum drift fishers that meet and exceed the United States Coast Guard regulations. The cabins offer cushioned seating, settees for catering, and clean men’s and ladies restrooms.

Both our locations are minutes from prime fishing grounds 20-40 minutes away depending on which hot spot is producing fish catches.

The fare includes rod, reel, bait, tackle, and fishing license. The crews have years of experience ensuring your families safety and enjoyment. Two half day excursion departing daily. No reservations necessary. Blue Heron specializes in private charters for family, business, and corporate events with the options of fishing or cruising.

Really enjoyed it despite rough water. The crew were very nice and helpful. I am not a very experienced deep sea fisherman so appreciated the crews help and experience. Would have liked to be able to purchase drinks on board but other than that the trip was perfect. Would recommend for anyone who does not want to spend over $500 to charter their own fishing trip.

Captain & Crew were AMAZING! Fishing gear was GREAT! Boat was clean! Nothing but wonderful things to say about these guys! From when we checked in to fishing to filleting the fish for us, the crew was on top of things and made the whole trip enjoyable. We had so much fun and enjoyed the experience so much, we were trying to figure out how we could go a second time on our trip! There were three of us (Mom and teenage sons). We showed up...checked in...were given a safety briefing...took off...traveled for about 20 minutes...fished in three different spots...caught several fish among us...traveled back to dock...the crew filleted the fish AND made a suggestion of how to cook it! The cost covers not only the boat but your license, rods, bait, plus, you can take home the fish you catch! PLAN to TIP THE CREW!!! My suggestion is no less than $15/person in your party...just my suggestion...maybe more depending on how many fish they fillet for you. Bring your own small carry-on cooler with water and snacks if you want. If you don't, no worries! They do sell water bottles on the boat.
