There is no adventure like whitewater rafting and there is no river trip like a Lower New River Gorge whitewater rafting trip. Rafting the New through the New River Gorge National Park is a milestone for East Coast paddlers.

The New River Gorge is the second oldest river in the world. Coursing through a 1000' deep canyon that is lined with soaring sandstone cliffs it is no surprise that this area was recently designated as a National Park. Wildlife sightings are abundant and guests will finish their river trip beneath the famous single arch expansion bridge known as the New River Gorge Bridge.

Good staff and trip structure. Pre-arrival information can be more robust with more information on do’s and don’t plus amenities at the facility would be more helpful.

We had a terrific time. The guide was fun, professional, and it made for a great family experience. Not huge water in July, but plenty of water for most of us - will have to go back to the Gauley in fall to satisfy one of us.

With limited/no rafting experience in our group this was an excellent trip. The guides were very knowledgeable and talked us through everything. The rapids weren’t ‘scary’ enough for my thrill seeking teenager but our guide shared other excursions they run that would fit that bill, meaning we’re looking at making a return trip. If/when we do I would definitely go back out on the water with Ace!
