Your guide will orient you to the area of East Cemetery Hill which is the location of heavy fighting during the Battle of Gettysburg before you enter the National Soldiers Orphanage Homestead. This building was used as the headquarters for General O.O. Howard during the battle and was also use as a hospital during and after the battle. After the end of the Civil War the building was turned into an orphanage for children whose fathers were lost during the American Civil War. That is where our story begins...

My fiancé and I took the tour of the Orphanage tonight, with Eric as our guide. He sure knows how to tell a ghost story! He was knowledgeable, experienced, and spoke clearly and loudly (important during pandemic when everyone is masked). Our time in the basement gave me the chills and left me uneasy. The remainder of the tour was outside, but still creepy. We plan to tour the Jennie Wade House with them in two days. I would definitely recommend the Orphanage tour!

Eric was our tour guide and was very good. He was engaging and his stories were creepy! The basement in the orphanage made me sick to my stomach and I couldn't get out soon enough.

I live in an apartment in The Orphanage and can attest to Spirit activity in the building. The Staff at Ghostly Images are friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. The tour is affordable, entertaining and historically authentic. I highly recommend.
