I recently a companied a traveling friend to a Highlights of the Met tour. She had never been to the Met and felt intimidated by the size of the museum and scope of things to see. As for me, I had visited many times over the years, mostly to see specific exhibits. I was unaware of many of the museum's offerings and their history. We had an amazing experience. Jon was the perfect tour guide - informative, knowledgeable, patient and relatable. The historical and anecdotal background information that accompanied everything we saw was fun and enlightening. Time flew and we left wanting more!

Jonathan was friendly and knowledgeable! With such a vast collection, Its hard to know where to start. It’s helpful to have someone who can start at the beginning (when and how the museum started) and take you through some highlights of archeology and art. He was able to talk about an object within its context of the times. He could do so with biblical history and some art history. Although he had a plan, he was flexible. He made a route to stop by something I was curious about (I love period rooms) on the way to our next stop. When we were finished, he also recommended some items he thought we might be interested in for us to explore on our own. I highly recommend him!

Jonathan is clearly an experienced guide. He shared unique insight to the highlights of the Met and provided a good pace - slow enough to appreciate various pieces, but quick enough to see much. It was a fun afternoon! I definitely recommend him!
