We met Mike, the tour director, at Alfred’s on Beale St at 9:30. A bus took us down to the river and then we all walked back through the historical district. Mike is a font of knowledge and filled with charming, interesting, and fun stories. He made sure to get us to the Peabody Hotel on time for the duck 🦆 march (which is adorable and NOT to be missed). The tour wrapped up at about 12:15 and Mike stayed to answers questions and to give suggestions for lunch. This is the way to see Memphis- the walking tour with Mike!

Mostly parks and of course the Peabody for the march of the ducks, which sounds corney but was actually a tradition and is a story in itself. The hotel is incredible, craftsmenship like it used to be...absolutely gorgeous.

Really enjoyed this walking tour. It was just the right length and I felt like we hit on lots of interesting places and events. Getting to see the Peabody Ducks was a highlight. Just an FYI, there is no parking at the bus pick up location. There is parking down the street in lots and garages, but you do need to pay. Be sure to allow enough time to park and then walk to the bus pick-up.
