This was such a fun experience for members in our family from 6-75! Daniel did a great job driving beautiful Chip and Royal! The wagon was nice with a see through cover for maximum viewing of the beautiful scenery. Isabella did a great job narrating the tour and truly aimed to make sure we had the best tour possible. The only thing I did not enjoy as much as I expected was the food. It was good but not great! I would definitely recommend this tour!

We took a covered wagon ride to a great family style meal as an excursion on the land portion of our cruise in June 2023. The ride was excellent with our guide Rachel giving us a lot of information about the history and geological make-up of the area. She was very impressive, informative and engaging. Our driver Michael was great in guiding the horses (Volt and Wyatt) throughout the journey. We actually saw a Moose and her calf come out of the woods to a small pond on the way back from our meal! Highly recommend this tour to give you a feel for what the early settlers experienced. Jim and Mary Hammell

This was a fun tour we did with grandparents and grandchildren. A bus will pick you up at your Denali resort and drive you approximately 15 minutes to the black diamond activity area you ride a covered wagon, drawn by two horses and ride about one hour to a log cabin, where you will dinner. At the log cabin you’re served on disposable dishes, several different types of meat, salmon, coleslaw, potato salad, beans, rolls, dessert, coffee, tea, wine, hot chocolate, beer, soda,beer and soda. I’m probably forgetting several foods as the foods just kept coming and coming and coming. Clean out house restrooms are available at the log cabin site. After dinner, you can visit and pet the horses. The ride back is about 45 minutes and then you will board the bus and go back to your resort. During the ride you are told about the area, the history and the horses. It’s a nice tour for the whole family.
