My family and I went June 3rd. It was a great experience from start to finish! We got off the bus from the resort, and they welcomed us with fresh out-of-the-oven chocolate chip cookies. They then brought two teams of horses around, both pulling covered wagons. It was quite chilly, and they provided blankets for everyone in the wagons. Our horses, Rocky and Turbo, were beautiful. Our wagon/horse driver, Kai, did an excellent job keeping the horses on track. Our guide, Sarah, told great stories and shared knowledge of the surrounding areas. At the end of the trail, we were treated to a family style dinner, and no one left hungry! We returned with more fun stories from Sarah, and made it back safely thanks to Kai. It was an awesome time, and I absolutely recommend the Black Diamond Resort Covered Wagon tour!

What a delight! We had a limited time in the Denali area and thought this would make a memorable evening. It did that and so much more. Our guide Cori, and patient horseman Michael, and sturdy equine duo of Volt & Wyatt, provided a fun covered wagon tour of the site. Cori is a wealth of knowledge, and bursting with energy. Enjoyed her banter and jokes a bunch. The dinner was great. Nice offerings of salads, meat, sides and dessert. I can't get over the fact that as we were leaving the vendue a bit after 11pm, the sun was still shining. All in all, a really great night. Thank you Cori and crew!

This excursion was one of the highlights of our trip to Alaska. Sarah and Kiara were very knowledgeable guides and provided excellent information throughout our trip.
