This monument is one of many treasures we are happy to share whenever possible with guests. Please remember we go where the clear skies are and not all guests have the same locations to visit. I went to Fairbanks this past December during the holidays time and booked all kinds of different tours including this one way in advance. “The site says book now and pay later” but we opted for paying in advance. We had initially schedule our tour for 12/27 but they called us and told us we should reschedule because the auroras were not going to be visible. We were disappointed but accepted to reschedule but found out later that everyone in the hotel we were staying at was able to see the aurora that night they said they were not going to come out. We lost credibility in the agency but were hopeful to see it the day they reschedule us for which was 12/30. Early on 12/30 we had scheduled other tours including snowmobiling. While I was riding the snowmobile had and accident and fell from my snowmobile and hurt my back really bad. On my ride back to the hotel I was in huge pain on my lower back and was not able to move or walk normally. We called Nick to let you know about the incident and that I was not able to come to the tour at night because of my accident but he was careless and ignored all my calls and texts and just responded to my brothers in law text with time they were going to pick us up. My brother in law and sister had to go to the tour against their willing as Nick was not responding the messages and we were not happy we losing all of our money. I’m face, the tour was already a waste because that night they predicted the aurora will come out and they took my sister to a site where they were not visible...so the tour was a waste. WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS TOUR - they’re careless people - they do not have expertise in finding the aurora or simply don’t care to take you a good location - they can reschedule and make you change your travel plans without enough notice - they DO NOT refund your money in the case you have an accident (*as an additional comment, we were able to see the aurora with a different tour provider who was excellent and took us to the best place to see the aurora glazing and dancing*).

Austin was our guide, and he did awesomely since it was my first time in Alaska I was asking a lot of questions, Austin did answer all of them and was very helpful during our tour. Unfortunately, we saw only a small piece of the aurora, but thanks to Austin the tour was very entertaining and we still had fun!

Austin was an amazing and outstanding guide. He went above and beyond to make our experience just mesmerizing. He picked us up from 10 miles far from Fairbanks downtown and the stop was not in the list of pick ups. He then drove us about 80 miles outside of Fairbanks just so that we are away from clouds as much as we can and can do uninterrupted photography. He then parked on a frozen lake which was something we never did. That in itself was an experience. He then put up a picnic table with beverages. He also lit up a bonfire within couple of minutes. That helped us a lot to fight against the cold and made it a lot easier to wait for the Aurora. He put in more woods and we had the fire the whole time we were there. He also clicked our pictures and send them immediately using air drop. Having him was a cherry on the cake. I totally recommend this to everyone and they surely have the lowest price.
