Child seat attachments are not allowed on the ebikes.
All riders must be 16 years of age or older
Pets may not accompany you on your ebike rental.
Start times at the Hull's Cove Visitor Center are exact.
Cruise ship passengers will need to arrange travel to Hulls Cove Visitor Center as we have no human transport vehicles. We recommend the Island Explorer (free) or Cadillac Mtn. Shuttle (taxi). PLEASE plan this in advance.
Ebike battery charges last 30 to 50 miles depending on the effort and body weight of the renter.
All ebikes are class 1 (pedaling required) consistent with park service rules
We will text you 24 hours before your rental to remind you of the location and start time.
All ebikes come with an insulated bag, lock, phone holder, helmet and map.
All participants need to be capable of riding a typical pedal bike.

A beautiful way to see Acadia. I would highly recommend it. The pedal assist bikes are truly easy to get the hang of - you will definitely still get exercise but it will be a lot easier getting around. Just be careful of the charge running out - it depends on the weight of the person and the distance you go. It is enough to do a full loop of the park. If you are good with a map, you don't need a guide. The carriage roads are so fun.

For our first ebike rental, we were very happy with the experience and with Island Time. We were given good instruction and a very detailed map of the park and Carriage Roads. The bikes were comfortable with padded seats and very easy to operate. They came with cell phone holder and a large pannier bag on the back which was so handy to store our water, snacks and jacket. I highly recommend Island Time to anyone looking to rent an ebike in Bar Harbor.

Being able to see Acadia National Park in a different way. It was stunning and quite beautiful. The paths were in great shape.
