Joshua Tree National Park
Our shuttle van will take you to the city of Joshua Tree where we trade for our H-1 Military Hummer to complete your adventure. We climb to the top of a breathtaking overlook called Eureka Peak that will give you a stunning view of the valley below and a view that stretches all the way to Mexico.

Big Morongo Canyon Preserve
Nestled among the Little San Bernardino Mountains in the Sand to Snow National Monument, the desert oasis at Big Morongo Canyon is one of the 10 largest cottonwood and willow riparian habitats in California. The upstream end of the canyon lies in the Mojave Desert, while its downstream portion opens into the Colorado Desert. There are numerous trails to walk and hike, including a wheelchair-accessible boardwalk through the marsh and riparian habitats. At 31,000 acres with elevations ranging from 600 feet on the canyon floor to 3000 feet at the top of the ridge, this diverse landscape has been an important part of the Morongo Basin’s natural and cultural history for almost two billion years.

Initially we thought we would drive ourselves to see the Joshua Tree National Park. I’m so glad we didn’t as we would not have seen this wonderful place as it should be seen and would not have learned what we did learn. Thank you Gary. Your insightful and informative commentary was fabulous and the off road experience and views are something we’ll always remember. The music too was fantastic. Thank you so much.

Thanks so much for your review and I'll pass the good comments back to Gary who is a musician himself. I'm glad you came with us and was able to learn and see more about the national park than you would have on your own.

Got a call at the meeting spot from a representative from the company that the trip would be cancelled because they couldn't secure a van to take us to the starting point where the Hummer was waiting for us. Another couple was there and said this happened to them the day before and got pushed to today. Really!!! Can't find a van to take 8 paying customers. If this is the start of the trip I can imagine what the actual 4 wheel drive activity would bring us.

We are genuinely sorry this happened on this day. Although this is a very rare experience ,our van had a flat and it is necessary to use it to shuttle. Your tour will be refunded and we will offer you a discount next time you come visit us.

Gary was a good guide; very knowledgable and fun. We learned a lot and had a good time. Meeting in Palm Springs and driving up to entrance of Joshua Tree in a nice SUV before switching into the Hummer is definitily the way to go. My only complaint was that for $200 a person we should be provided with lunch and drinks on a 5 hour excursion.
