Just north of Palm Springs lies one of nature's majestic creations, Joshua Tree National Park. In the comfort of an enclosed, climate-controlled vehicle your guide will take you on an extensive all paved road tour through the stunning rock formations and otherworldly landscape of the Mojave Desert.
This activity has a 2 person requirement for the tour to run. If you are a single rider, please call first.
NOTICE: EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2025 ALL JOSHUA TREE TOURS WILL REQUIRE GUESTS TO PAY THEIR OWN $15 ENTRY FEE UPON ENTERING THE PARK. ENTRY FEES WILL NO LONGER BE INCLUDED IN THE BIG WHEEL TOURS PRICING. PLEASE COME PREPARED WITH A FORM OF PAYMENT (CREDIT CARD) TO ACCOMMODATE THIS NEW POLICY. THANK YOU!

My work colleague and I decided to go on the discovery tour on a Sunday morning. It was unreal! It was honestly one of the best tours I've ever been on. Our tour guide, Ron (a 72 year old machine with a wealth of knowledge), answered every question I fired at him and took us to see some really really cool sites. I fell in love with the high desert today and can't wait to get back! Thank you so much Ron for everything - you really made it a wonderful experience. The tour had a great mix of driving around and walking. We even got to stop at the gift shop and buy some pretty sweet souvenirs. This is also a great tour if it's your first trip to Joshua Tree - really insightful intro.

We had the best guide anyone could ask for on this tour. My wife told me he was very knowledgeable and taught her many things about the history of the park and its inhabitants and geology. I specifically chose the VAN tour, at a higher price than other tours as I have a hearing problem with background noise. The wind and road noise etc. was so bad in the soft top Jeep I could only hear bits and pieces of what the guide said. When we stopped and walked around some of the sites I was able to hear him and really enjoyed his expertise. I had to ride in the back seat as my wife has knee replacements and is not able to bend them enough to get into the back seat. In the future I would hire the same guide and company, but I will clarify that a van tour uses a van when I book.

Touring Joshua Tree for the first time was an incredible experience. Captain Ron made this happen!! Ron picked us up at our hotel and our ride to Joshua Tree was so interesting as he told us of the fascinating history and geography of the area. ( We are first time visitors from New England.) Ron continued to share his vast knowledge of Joshua as we toured the park. He shared information regarding the early settlers, their survival skills, natural medicines and remedies, ancient artifacts, plants, flowers, birds etc. and we also did a pleasant,easy hike ( retirees :). On our return to our hotel Ron shared stories of the many wonderful quirky characters who have been drawn too and lived in the valley. Ron made this tour truly a 5 star experience for us.
