Florida Keys

From our sun deck, you will have a panoramic offshore view of the Florida Keys and can view the ever-changing colors of the Atlantic Ocean. Once we reach the reef, you will be able to observe the coral reef through our large viewing windows, which are large enough for everyone to observe the reef at the same time and are located along the center of the boat and installed flat so there is no distortion other than what nature creates. Everything you see on our tour is or was alive and the reef itself is built off of many varieties of living coral and teems with an assortment of sea life. Your tour guide will be able to point out all kinds of sea creatures which may include sea fans, sea plumes and hundreds of fish ranging from small tropical to larger species sought after by local fishermen.

When my friend & I went on this tour, it was very windy. I didn't think they should have gone out. I had to stay in my seat because it was so choppy. When we get to the reefs, there was really nothing exciting to see. I thought we would see a bunch of fish. It was quite boring. The other thing, because it was so choppy even going slow over the reefs, I got up to go to the bathroom. The boat knocked me around so much that I was screaming. Not one crew member helped me! A guy on the cruise came to me to see if I was alright. I said yes (embarrassingly) and asked him to close the bathroom for me because I didn't have the strength to do it. The tour narrator KNEW I was hurting because she made mention of my screams in a jokingly way (she was talking about sharks when I screamed.). The tour narrator didn't ask me if I was ok (I really wasn't). Uncaring & uneventful. I will never go again.

Lily, sorry we did not meet your expectations, we have to deal with the hand the Mother Nature and King Neptune gives us on any given day to combat that for our guest we 1) post the N.O.A.A. forecast at the ticket counter 2) the counter person advises the person purchasing the tickets that it is or might be rough and asks if that's okay with everyone in the group 3) A pre-boarding announcement is also made giving the guest three opportunities to reschedule or get a refund. Had the narrator seen you were in distress or herd you scream she would have notified the other mate to come and assist you. Plus you could of always asked for and received assistance. It is all our jobs to see to the guest/passengers comfort while dealing with the conditions of the day.

The staff was efficient and great and the weather was beautiful and cool. We loved the sail out to the reef but, unfortunately, there's not much to see out there. Although the day was clear we only saw one, maybe two fish. The staff did provide excellent information about the reef and the environment. Kids definitely enjoy the experience, but we just enjoyed the sail, having been snorkeling and knowing what it is to actually have the chance to maneuver on our own. This is an excellent introduction to a reef for those who are unable to snorkel.
