Florida Keys

From our sun deck, you will have a panoramic offshore view of the Florida Keys and can view the ever-changing colors of the Atlantic Ocean. Once we reach the reef, you will be able to observe the coral reef through our large viewing windows, which are large enough for everyone to observe the reef at the same time and are located along the center of the boat and installed flat so there is no distortion other than what nature creates. Everything you see on our tour is or was alive and the reef itself is built off of many varieties of living coral and teems with an assortment of sea life. Your tour guide will be able to point out all kinds of sea creatures which may include sea fans, sea plumes and hundreds of fish ranging from small tropical to larger species sought after by local fishermen.

The boat ride to the reef took about 50 minutes there and then 50 minutes back. We spent about 20 minutes at the reef. The boat ride itself was nice. The ocean was just beautiful the day we went. Once we got to the reef, our crew member explained what we would see. However, there was nothing to see. And I mean nothing. Save your money and your time and stay away from this tour unless you go just for the boat ride. This was a terrible experience. Many people on board got sick. It's a long 1 and a half hours to not see anything.

It take us 45 minutes to the reef and 45 minutes back to the dock. You spend 30 minutes out on molasses reef. Sorry Mother Nature did not put on much of a show for you. We do hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in the Florida Keys.

The crew was very nice and accommodating. Alcohol is served on the boat. The trip to the reef takes 45 minutes. Brandon did an excellent job of explaining a coral reef but if you expect to see lots of fish on the reef, you have to look hard. So of the two hour tour time frame you spend an hour and a half to and from the reef site. A few customers did get a wee bit seasick but everyone was duly warned that it may happen and they did offer and suggest, for sale, Dramamine, for $2 a tablet. Other beverages and snacks were available for sale. COViD restrictions, including mandatory masks in the bottom level, were clearly explained. A very nice boat ride but we didn’t see a ton of aquatic life.

We had a beautiful sunny day. The water was not flat nor choppy. Clearly from the top of the boat you can see the different colors of the ocean. The dark blues and the crystal clear water that looked white. If you are prone to get seasick please take your meds. Though they do sell Dramamine on board. They have drinks and alcohol also to purchase. They have some snacks. Everyone was very friendly. Boat was very clean. Everyone respected each other’s space. The boat was not crowded. I would recommend.
