Early on during our visit we went on the Conch Tour Train, which was informative and entertaining at times. We enjoyed learning about the history and sights of Key West, and it was great to have the option of getting off at one or more sites, with the option of hopping back on board a different Conch Tour Train, since they run continuously every 30 minutes during the daytime. The train conductors who are also the tour guides who give a running commentary are knowledgeable, and funny at times, and seem to enjoy their jobs (or put on a good act.)

Still waiting. Too many people on the island and not enough train. Next time I’ll just take the trolley! Waste of money! Still waiting......

So, I'm the girl who wants to do something educational while on vacation. Husband, not so much but he goes along nicely! While purchasing our Aquarium tickets, we learned that we'd get a discount if we purchased any other tickets at the same time. So we booked this tour. My husband is 6'4" so we started our tour with him squished in the last seat (facing the back) - we were given the wrong location for pick up and arrived last to hop on... We were able to change seats at the first stop! Yay! Skipper started the tour immediately with the rules, etc then gave us so much information about Key West that we never could have learned on our own. We were fascinated, entertained, educated and thoroughly enjoyed the tour. What a gem you have in Skipper! She was a joy to listen to (especially when she so diplomatically quieted the chatty guests sitting behind her)… Her personal story, knowledge of Key West and her joy in sharing this with us was wonderful! I feel like I would like to hire her for a personal tour because I was left wanting to have many conversations about what we learned. I would definitely recommend this tour, I'd look for Skipper to be the guide, and would probably do it again!
