Key West Ghost and Mysteries Tour
Check-in for the ghost tour is no later than 8:45 at the corner of Duval and Caroline Street in front of the Porter Mansion on the Duval Street side. There is a small booth just at the entrance to the property, at the beginning of the 300 block of Duval Street, and that is where you will do your check-in. At 9pm the guide will depart and walk you down Rose Lane for an introduction to the tour which includes some Key West history, terminology used when talking about different spirit sightings, instructions on how to take pictures, and general guidelines. Key West is Florida's second oldest city and one of the most haunted locations in the country. From Rose Lane you will walk to the end of the block stopping at the Casa Antigua, Ernest Hemingway's first Key West residence where he fell in love with Key West and wrote "A Farewell to Arms". You will hear what happened in this interesting building and the ghostly story about The Watcher. The tour then moves up to Eaton Street to the Artist House where you will hear the story of the creepy, Robert the Doll and see where he used to live. Next the tour moves to Bahama Street where the oldest graveyard is located in back of Saint Paul's Church. You are invited to use the dowsing rods at this point to try to engage spirit activity. Just past the graveyard is the Dean-Lopez Funeral Home. This stop is where the strange tale of Count Von Cosel and Elana is related. This story is stranger than fiction, but it's all true and documented. You now will wind back around to the La Concha Hotel and hear what happened at the tallest building in Key West. It's a ghostly tale, but not what you probably think. Next the tour moves to the Oldest House and Gardens to explore the grounds at the back of the house, and hear stories about the family who lived here and learn about the many ghostly sightings. This is the most active location on the tour and many guests get pictures on their cameras. Finally, the tour moves inside to hear the chilling tale of a prominent Key West family at their former residence. As the tour concludes, there is time for stories and picture sharing. The tour is interactive and questions are encouraged. The tour ends at 10:30 across the street from where it started.

We love to enjoy a ghost tour while on vacation. We learn about the history of the location and any paranormal activity associated with the area. Susan did a wonderful job touring us around to the various locations and telling us about the history of each location. We did get some great orbs on our photos and can see why Key West is one of the top 3 haunted places to visit.

I prefer to not write negative reviews but this was just too bad for anyone to waste money on! Six years ago we took this tour and it was the highlight of our first visit to Key West. We were just there again with family and wanted them to experience the absolutely spooky and fun time we had so this past Tuesday we took them expecting the same terrific time. It was the worst event of our entire trip!! Obviously we did not have Southermost Ted! Our tour guide didn't seem to even know the entire stories of the places we visited and did nothing at all to keep us entertained. The book he carried was filthy with fingerprints and he didn't have a proper flash light. He showed exactly two pictures from it. The Hard Rock Cafe was nothing more than a bathroom visit.He would say feel free to take pics then run along to next stop before you could even get the camera out. He actually took a text in the middle of the tour and started rushing us along like he had somewhere else to be. I could go on and on but the point is I would never waste our hard earned money on this tour again. I think we would've had a better time just looking up hauntings on our our and doing our our tour.

Thank you for joining us on the tour once again, and I do have to apologize that the tour did not live up to your expectations. Due to a variety of of personal events, our regular team of guides (including myself) were not available that evening. I had a tour guide in training cover the tour; I thought he was up to speed, but obviously that's not the case. We pride ourselves on providing the best walking tour on the island and constantly strive to improve and develop our guests experience. This time I failed. I'm personally scared very easily and scared of ghosts but this tour is so much fun! The stories are creepy and doing it at night adds to the ambiance of the tour. The guide was friendly, knowledge, and a great story teller!
