Key West Ghost and Mysteries Tour
Check-in for the ghost tour is no later than 8:45 at the corner of Duval and Caroline Street in front of the Porter Mansion on the Duval Street side. There is a small booth just at the entrance to the property, at the beginning of the 300 block of Duval Street, and that is where you will do your check-in. At 9pm the guide will depart and walk you down Rose Lane for an introduction to the tour which includes some Key West history, terminology used when talking about different spirit sightings, instructions on how to take pictures, and general guidelines. Key West is Florida's second oldest city and one of the most haunted locations in the country. From Rose Lane you will walk to the end of the block stopping at the Casa Antigua, Ernest Hemingway's first Key West residence where he fell in love with Key West and wrote "A Farewell to Arms". You will hear what happened in this interesting building and the ghostly story about The Watcher. The tour then moves up to Eaton Street to the Artist House where you will hear the story of the creepy, Robert the Doll and see where he used to live. Next the tour moves to Bahama Street where the oldest graveyard is located in back of Saint Paul's Church. You are invited to use the dowsing rods at this point to try to engage spirit activity. Just past the graveyard is the Dean-Lopez Funeral Home. This stop is where the strange tale of Count Von Cosel and Elana is related. This story is stranger than fiction, but it's all true and documented. You now will wind back around to the La Concha Hotel and hear what happened at the tallest building in Key West. It's a ghostly tale, but not what you probably think. Next the tour moves to the Oldest House and Gardens to explore the grounds at the back of the house, and hear stories about the family who lived here and learn about the many ghostly sightings. This is the most active location on the tour and many guests get pictures on their cameras. Finally, the tour moves inside to hear the chilling tale of a prominent Key West family at their former residence. As the tour concludes, there is time for stories and picture sharing. The tour is interactive and questions are encouraged. The tour ends at 10:30 across the street from where it started.

This was my first ghost tour I've done but thought this was fun. I liked that this was a walking tour but was a little bummed about not being able to go inside of places. My friend who went doesn't believe in ghosts but still seemed to have a good time learning about the history. Overall, I would recommend this tour to someone, as long as they're not expecting to go inside places or see ghosts. These tours are mainly for learning history, which was very interesting!

Thank You for joining us the Key West Ghost & Mysteries Tour! The Haunted history of Kye West is fascinating and we're constantly uncovering events both old and recent that we can add to enhance our tours. As for going inside, we do finish at the upstairs room of the Hard Rock which has a great history (and the only Haunted Hard Rock Cafe), and we do have exclusive access to the garden of the Oldest House which has been quite active lately. (Still working with the Ghost Union, they're fickle and we never know from night to night when or where they will appear!) But they do on a regular basis which keeps it interesting for both our guides and our guests. Thanks again for joining us!

We had 8 people looking to do something different at night. We took this tour and it did not disappoint. Ted gave us a good basic lesson on ghost hunting and what to expect. We learned a lot about the island, some really weird stories and had some great photos of ghostly encounters. What a great way to walk around the island at night. Highly recommend for anyone looking for something totally different.

Thank you for joining us on the Key West Ghost & Mysteries tour! It's always a joy to hear that our guests enjoyed the tour as much as we enjoy presenting it! With the wealth of quirky haunted history that our island has to offer, (Key West has been voted one of the Most Haunted cities in the country), there's only so much we incorporate into a 90 minute tour. But we do the best we can, and with new phenomena appearing on a regular basis, it gives a chance to build and expand our presentations each evening. I have been on ghost tours across the US (Savannah, Charleston, Boston, Salem, Portland, etc.) and this was not a good tour. There was a lot of focus on paranormal tracking capabilities like orbs in pictures, a device that supposedly talks to the ghosts, etc. I like ghost tours mostly for the view they provide on history and while there was a bit of that incorporated, I think it was overshadowed by the tries to prove that ghosts exist. Also, I found the guide that we had very rude and condescending. I had a drink in my hand (allowed in Key West) when my sister and I arrived at the meeting point and the guide made a bunch of rude comments to me with no basis. He continued this behavior throughout the tour. There are a lot of operators of ghost tours in Key West, would suggest you choose one of those.

We do strive to present the most entertaining and informative tour on the island, incorporating the haunted history along the way. Ted is an excellent tour guide who has many guests that actually request him as their tour guide. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't hit it off and get into the 'spirit' of the tour. Our goal is to make sure that it is a fun and memorable experience for all of our guests!
