Key West Ghost and Mysteries Tour
Check-in for the ghost tour is no later than 8:45 at the corner of Duval and Caroline Street in front of the Porter Mansion on the Duval Street side. There is a small booth just at the entrance to the property, at the beginning of the 300 block of Duval Street, and that is where you will do your check-in. At 9pm the guide will depart and walk you down Rose Lane for an introduction to the tour which includes some Key West history, terminology used when talking about different spirit sightings, instructions on how to take pictures, and general guidelines. Key West is Florida's second oldest city and one of the most haunted locations in the country. From Rose Lane you will walk to the end of the block stopping at the Casa Antigua, Ernest Hemingway's first Key West residence where he fell in love with Key West and wrote "A Farewell to Arms". You will hear what happened in this interesting building and the ghostly story about The Watcher. The tour then moves up to Eaton Street to the Artist House where you will hear the story of the creepy, Robert the Doll and see where he used to live. Next the tour moves to Bahama Street where the oldest graveyard is located in back of Saint Paul's Church. You are invited to use the dowsing rods at this point to try to engage spirit activity. Just past the graveyard is the Dean-Lopez Funeral Home. This stop is where the strange tale of Count Von Cosel and Elana is related. This story is stranger than fiction, but it's all true and documented. You now will wind back around to the La Concha Hotel and hear what happened at the tallest building in Key West. It's a ghostly tale, but not what you probably think. Next the tour moves to the Oldest House and Gardens to explore the grounds at the back of the house, and hear stories about the family who lived here and learn about the many ghostly sightings. This is the most active location on the tour and many guests get pictures on their cameras. Finally, the tour moves inside to hear the chilling tale of a prominent Key West family at their former residence. As the tour concludes, there is time for stories and picture sharing. The tour is interactive and questions are encouraged. The tour ends at 10:30 across the street from where it started.

My partner and I were searching for a ghost tour in Key West while we were on vacation. We found 3 similar tours, but decided to choose Key West Ghost and Mysteries Tour. Our tour guide was "Southermost Ted". We made the right decision by choosing this tour. We got a semi private tour since there were only the 2 of us plus another couple. Ted was very knowlegable of the history and also the stories of Key West and every places we stop at. The tour was about 1 1/2 hours and ended at the Hard rock Cafe building. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for some great ghost experience at night while in the Key West. Thanks again Ted for the great tour. You are GREAT!

My husband and I have been on walking ghost tours in Savannah and Charleston before but this was our first in Key West and it was excellent! Ted was an awesome tour guide!! He really knew his Key West/Key Weird history. He was very entertaining and easy to listen to. The history wasn't boring yet he didn't do any "gags" to try and scare people either. He didn't need to! His stories were pretty weird/scary all on their own. The tour was well worth the money and we loved walking around Key West at night with Ted and a great group of fellow believers and skeptics! I think they were all believers by the end of the tour!

Yvonne was our tour guide, I have read other comments on here from a few months ago about her being unprepared, but she admitted to our group that she had only started as a tour guide a few months ago and was still researching, so I think she just needed some more time as I found her to be very knowledgable and she answered all my questions fully... I have been on the "Original Ghost Tour" and the Trolley tour- both I found to be ridiculous, over the top, and for the focus to be painfully unfunny jokes, Yvonne's tour was very different. She was down to earth and told the stories from a factual place, rather than embellishing with lame jokes or theatrics. Of the three I've been on, by far this was my favourite. If you want your tour guide to be a fledgling stand up comedian, go with The Original Ghost Tour company... If you want to feel like you're at Disney Land, go on the trolley... But if you want the true stories without made-up embellishments and a guide who isn't just out for tips, go on the Ghosts and Mysteries Tour, I highly recommend it!
