Key West Ghost and Mysteries Tour
Check-in for the ghost tour is no later than 8:45 at the corner of Duval and Caroline Street in front of the Porter Mansion on the Duval Street side. There is a small booth just at the entrance to the property, at the beginning of the 300 block of Duval Street, and that is where you will do your check-in. At 9pm the guide will depart and walk you down Rose Lane for an introduction to the tour which includes some Key West history, terminology used when talking about different spirit sightings, instructions on how to take pictures, and general guidelines. Key West is Florida's second oldest city and one of the most haunted locations in the country. From Rose Lane you will walk to the end of the block stopping at the Casa Antigua, Ernest Hemingway's first Key West residence where he fell in love with Key West and wrote "A Farewell to Arms". You will hear what happened in this interesting building and the ghostly story about The Watcher. The tour then moves up to Eaton Street to the Artist House where you will hear the story of the creepy, Robert the Doll and see where he used to live. Next the tour moves to Bahama Street where the oldest graveyard is located in back of Saint Paul's Church. You are invited to use the dowsing rods at this point to try to engage spirit activity. Just past the graveyard is the Dean-Lopez Funeral Home. This stop is where the strange tale of Count Von Cosel and Elana is related. This story is stranger than fiction, but it's all true and documented. You now will wind back around to the La Concha Hotel and hear what happened at the tallest building in Key West. It's a ghostly tale, but not what you probably think. Next the tour moves to the Oldest House and Gardens to explore the grounds at the back of the house, and hear stories about the family who lived here and learn about the many ghostly sightings. This is the most active location on the tour and many guests get pictures on their cameras. Finally, the tour moves inside to hear the chilling tale of a prominent Key West family at their former residence. As the tour concludes, there is time for stories and picture sharing. The tour is interactive and questions are encouraged. The tour ends at 10:30 across the street from where it started.

Went in mid March with Ted the Mask Police while your in a single line walking around outside for 90 minutes you where he constantly makes sure everyone has their mask over mouth and nose even if you have health condition we stand against walls in a line or circle in front of buildings or homes he told us stories Didn't even get to go inside any of them not even the graveyard Best part was when it was over at the hard rock upstairs I went into bathroom with my mother as I have psychic abilities I told any spirits there if anyone is here you don't have permission to touch me or suck my energy (it's rumored to be haunted by owner who pinched or touches butts and legs of women) I went into first stall my mom the 2nd (only 2 stalls) while I was peeing there was a couple light knocks and a wiggle of my door I thought okay they know someone's here then another couple small knocks I said I'm in here then finished up quickly came out and nobody was there I asked my mom if she heard anyone knock on her door she said no but I heard you say something when we excited nobody was outside waiting That was the best part so instead of wasting $40 just go upstairs to the hard rock use the bathroom make sure you tell any spirits they don't have permission to touch you or use your energy They have other ways to get energy like lights phones cameras ect Also there's a restraunt called The Cuban a restroom attendant workers there for 6 generations died about 10yrs ago or so No word it's haunted but someone I believe she was making me very weak and dizzy until I called out and said they can't use my energy and put a big white light around myself When my mom was in there the faucet turned on when she was in the bathroom Do your own lockups of possible haunted places and check them out yourselves don't spend money standing outside of places listening to stories in hot weather and masks outside

We wanted to do a walking ghost tour and decided on this company. Ted was our tour guide. I thought he was a passionate story teller. Our tour began on the corner of Duval and Caroline St. We made two stops, each time we formed a circle and listened to Ted’s stories. He had photos with him and shared them with us. After those two stops, we went to front the Artist house. From there, it was 3 more brief stops, spoke about history of the La Concha hotel while we looked up at it. Then it was off to the upstairs of Hard Rock. Ted spoke about the history there before tour came to an end. I think I expected just a little more. Earlier in the week, I did see a tour go by Captain Tony’s telling a story there. Each tour company probably focuses on different stops.

Ted was very knowledgeable about the haunted history of Key West and also incredibly entertaining. He was able to tailor his stories for some younger kids on the tour that evening without taking anything away from the adults in the crowd. Go for the ghost stories, but listen to the fascinating history as well!
