We were unsure on whether to take a snorkeling tour or not, and whether to go to Molokini or Lanai. At the end we decided, since we were staying in Kaanapali, to go to Lanai and only the 4 hour trip was available, which turned out to be perfect for us and our two teenagers (16 and 17).
We chose Ultimate Whale Watch and Snorkel, because the smaller boat appealed to us.
What a great trip!!! On our way to Lanai we slowed down to enjoy at least 20 dolphins, swimming along the boat and showing off for us. Once off the shore of Lanai, we snorkelled around a beautiful reef, and saw at least 4 turtles and different fish.
We then went to see the south coast of Lanai and returned to Maui where we had another 50 minutes in the water at a spot filled with all kind of fish and turtles.
We were offered tasty snacks and fruit, as well as soft drinks and water. Snorkeling equipment was good, I paid extra for the wetsuit, which was not necessary.
The captain and skipper shared with us their knowledge of the area, its history, and about Dolphins and whales.
Would highly recommend to anyone
