Our small group snorkeling tours are locally owned and operated, making you feel like a part of our Maui ohana! Since 1982 we have offered snorkeling trips on our quick and safe rafting vessels to the island of Lanai where we find secret coves, sea cliffs, tropical reef, marine life and dolphins! This trip includes whale watching during whale migration months (December-April). Every ticket supports active marine research and our efforts as part of the whale entanglement response team here on Maui!

We were unsure on whether to take a snorkeling tour or not, and whether to go to Molokini or Lanai. At the end we decided, since we were staying in Kaanapali, to go to Lanai and only the 4 hour trip was available, which turned out to be perfect for us and our two teenagers (16 and 17). We chose Ultimate Whale Watch and Snorkel, because the smaller boat appealed to us. What a great trip!!! On our way to Lanai we slowed down to enjoy at least 20 dolphins, swimming along the boat and showing off for us. Once off the shore of Lanai, we snorkelled around a beautiful reef, and saw at least 4 turtles and different fish. We then went to see the south coast of Lanai and returned to Maui where we had another 50 minutes in the water at a spot filled with all kind of fish and turtles. We were offered tasty snacks and fruit, as well as soft drinks and water. Snorkeling equipment was good, I paid extra for the wetsuit, which was not necessary. The captain and skipper shared with us their knowledge of the area, its history, and about Dolphins and whales. Would highly recommend to anyone

Trip is in 3 parts- first went to Lanai for snorkeling. On the way we saw a pod of probably 60 spinner dolphins, was amazing. The snorkeling itself was ok, was not as good as the snorkeling outside our resort. After Lanai we went back to where we started where we saw tons of sea turtles- up close. On way back from Lanai we saw bottle nose dolphins. Overall, the dolphins and sea turtles made trip worth it. Emma and Pat were also great. Emma very knowledgeable and taught us a lot along the way. They were both awesome hosts, she remembered everyone’s name which was a nice touch. Overall, was a great trip, in 4 hours we saw two types of dolphins and tons of sea turtles. My only complaint about the entire trip is the lack of clarity around where to park near the meeting place.

Christie and Levi were fabulous. You wouldn't think it would be such a good time since the boat doesn't look like it will hold 26 people haha. But it was more than enough room and we had a great family time. Thank you so much. Wel worth the trip. If I could give any advice, bring an under water camera to capture the pictures.
