Worst Experience
We booked the tour for November 12th a month in advance.
We were traveling to Manhattan and decided to visit Niagara Falls specifically for the Maid of the Mist.
Our reservation was for the 1:00 PM tour. We arrived at 12:30 PM, but no one showed up for us. We called Headout at 1:05 PM, and they told us that the tour guide was already on the tour and that we couldn't join because the guide claimed we weren’t there (which was a lie).
When I called Niagara Regional Tours, the person who answered insisted that we hadn’t shown up and asked if I had a Canadian visa (I did not). His response was, “Well, you came to see the falls, so you can see the falls.” (I wanted to see the falls from the Maid of the Mist.) He also claimed that he tried to contact me by email, phone, and SMS. Oddly, he didn’t use WhatsApp or Telegram. When I asked for evidence, he sent me a message timestamped at 9:00 AM that same day, saying they had sent an email and SMS, which I didn’t receive.
After a long time with no evidence or reasonable explanation, his only response was to refund the tour price. When I mentioned that I would leave a negative review, he said he would refuse the refund if I did (and it seems this wasn’t the first time, based on other reviews).
Note: The Maid of the Mist tours on the U.S. side stopped operating on November 3rd, so it’s strange that a "renowned" tour site wouldn’t know this and continued to confirm the tour even on the same day.
Don’t waste your time and money with these “tour guides.” You can buy the same tickets at a lower price in the park.
