Like so many great cities in the World, the best way to really see New York is from the water. For the casual visitor or tourist, it's sometimes difficult to get a feel for the lie of the land and how the districts and neighborhoods fit together. A boat tour right around the island of Manhattan is a brilliant way to better understand the city. This cruise is fantastic. Not only do you get to see the whole of Manhattan from the water, but the on-board commentary and narration is a fascinating insight into how the city came to look like it does. The quality of the tour is outstanding. The facilities on board are superb. The service is 100%. Really great value for money and one place that tips and gratuities are genuinely well earned by the crew and staff. This would be my #1 thing to suggest any visitor to New York does when in town.

We looked at a few options for a Manhattan cruise and very pleased we chose the Manhattan Architecture Cruise. First, the yacht is wonderful with very comfortable seating inside and large glass windows. The outside area at the bow is nice as well. A glass of champagne was included and a bar available with food. This cruise is 2:45 and the architectural commentary runs for most of it. We found this really unique and interesting with details you would never hear elsewhere. With so much commentary this is a “quiet” cruise, if you want to chat, go out on the bow. Everyone respected this on our cruise.

I decided to drag my friends with me on this cruise because I loved architecture, even though they didnt. The architecture part wasnt for them, as expected, but they enjoyed a beautiful boat with drinks and views nonetheless. I wish the new narrator lots of luck, fun and smooth sailing.
