Our hotel, Pod51 offered walk-in tours during our stay in NYC. In collaboration of Streetwise Tour, there were a number of tours arranged throughout the week. We would have signed up to all of it given the chance but our schedule didn’t permit. We took advantage of the Wednesday tour of Central Park and Upper West Side and it indeed has been one of the beat decision we made while staying in NYC. We proceeded to Pod Times Square for the meet up at 9:30am. With my 10 year old daughter on this trip, we were so excited to get in this guided tour and it did not disappoint. There was a group of us and we met Dan, our tour guide. We toured by foot foremost taking the subway to our first stop. We already had tickets but Dan was very helpful to those who did not have yet and assisted on purchasing. He is always proactively ensuring should anyone needed help and is comfortable. Starting off with the quaint neighbourhood of the West side then off we went to Central Park. He follows through the group’s pace and is willing to slow down if need be. Equipped with very interested and informative fun facts as he shared his knowledge about the city. Dan entertained our questions and answered all of them and even more. It was delightful to be able to learned something new with this NYC trip. The tour finished promptly within the expected timeline and wrapped up by 12pm, perfectly timed especially when you have planned for the rest of the day. I would highly recommend one to participate on this tour 10/10 so you can enjoy the vibrant city while leaving it to the experts. I look forward to returning to NY in the future and would def do this guided tour once again!

We took the walking tour to Brooklyn. We learn a lot about the history / architecture of the place as well as some interesting facts about the neighborhood.
