My friend and I visited NYC for the first time and Pod 51 hotel, where we stayed, comp'd a walking tour with Streetwise New York Tours -- our guide was Patrick. We had a fun group of about 20 folks and Patrick made the tour very interesting and fun for us all, getting many of us to join in discussions! Patrick handled the group logistics well so we could all see clearly and hear his discussions; he took us to a variety of cool places, giving us history and interesting facts about all of them; he answered our related and unrelated questions with great knowledge of NYC and current goings-on; he even had great suggestions for lunch places when the tour concluded. The tour lasted several hours (4?) and covered probably a mile or more of walking -- seemed like it anyway!! So we covered a lot of interesting sights my friend and I were not originally planning to visit. I've already recommended Streetwise New York Tours to friends and will definitely personally connect with Streetwise again on any future visits to the Big Apple! This walking tour was really one of the highlights of our visit!!! So glad we joined in!

My friend and I went on the Brooklyn and the Highline tour. Our guides Sonja and Dan, great people, fun to be with, knowledgable and very helpful. It is a very good way to get to know the city.We spend 5 days in N.Y.C. I wish we could have done a walking tour every day, it was such a memorable time we are planing our next trip to New York, oh by the way I took1753 photos ! Walk walk walk leave your highheels at home ;-)

I really enjoyed this walking tour. We explored DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights. Our guide, Dan, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the changes in the two areas over time. It was a really cold day, so we did have a short little stop near a coffeeshop and bookstore. The tour was more of a local's perspective; it's not where you would probably go if you went to visit Brooklyn.
