I highly recommend the excellent walking tour that my nine year old daughter and I did with Andrew through the Meatpacking District, Chelsea Market, the High line and Greenwich Village. Andrew is incredibly knowledgeable about the areas that we visited as well as New York generally. It was great to have the insights of someone who lives in the city and could share his own experiences of places and events. The walk was well paced, relaxed and very enjoyable. Andrew is extremely helpful and happy to offer advice about all manner of things such as where best to hire a bike to cycle around Central Park! His recommendation was perfect! To get a real sense of the city, I cannot think of a better way to do it than to join one of the outstanding Streetwise walking tours.

Because our hotel is part of the Triumph Hotel Group, we were able to attend a walking tour of Hell’s Kitchen for free! As this was our first time in New York, we found that this tour was extremely helpful in uncovering foodie heaven! Our tour guide Patrick was very friendly and full of knowledge. I loved how he would use his iPad to show us before shots of several buildings and the highline so we could get a really good idea of the history of Hell’s Kitchen. My favourite part of the tour was the seeing the FAILE mural on the historic Record Plant recording studio, a super important part of rock & roll history that would have been otherwise overlooked if we had not gone on this tour. Thanks Patrick for a lovely morning and for the advice on places to try for a drink & a nice meal in Hell’s Kitchen!

What a wonderful time I had on the Streetwise New York Tours with Andrew through NYC ! It's definitly not the same to walk with a born and raised New-Yorker to visit the city and learn so many little stories about architecture, music, food and so on... émoticône wink I will come back and discover all I missed running out of time !
