We went on the Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo walking tour, having heard about it through our hotel POD 51. Our guide guide Andrew was great! He showed us all the iconic sites detailing fascinating facts and past history in this amazing borough of new york. Most importantly giving his opinion on the pizza debate- Juilanas vs. Grimaldis. Overall I definitely recommended going on one of these tours just to see a different side of new york that you would not have experienced exploring by yourself.

Went with Streetwise as we saw good reviews in Tripadvisor. Also, we didn't want to go to standard stuff which we can probably go on our own. Hence, we decided to go on a walking tour. We've made a booking months in advance. Dan was very prompt in his response and patiently answered all our queries. It was raining on and off on the day that we had the tour. Good that we continued with it even so. We met Dan after we went to the Statue of Liberty. He took us to most of the interesting places and had shared some interesting information with us. He even pointed out some places that were in movies like Spiderman and the series Sex in the City. Didn't even notice that we walked for around 5 hours! Will definitely go with them again when we visit New York next time. There's still a number of places where we wanted to go but just didn't have time to do so.

We heard about the walking tour through the Pod 51 hotel. We decided to take the Brooklyn heights tour on our first day in NY. The tour was very informative but not over the top and our guide knew everything you needed to know about the city, all the best spots for taking photos, the best place to get pizza etc.. He also showed us how to use the subway which was great because it isn't the easiest. We had such a good day we booked the meat packing tour the following day, which was just as good. Would recommend to anyone new to the city.
