A very pleasant (even 30 degrees hot) walk through Queens with Dan. Dan seemed to know everything about the neighborhood and told us a lot about the history, the people, the daily life and the development of Queens. Things we couldn't have read in any tourist guide. It was still just "scratching the surface", but after this tour we really want to come back and will be very well prepared to do our own walk and visit some of the very interesting shops and restaurant in this borough. At the end we walked us to the ferry a the right time for departure (and even helped us buy tickets) so we could take a pleasant cruise back to Manhattan.

I stayed at Pod Hotel 51, I was travelling by myself and notice the free provided tours by the our hotel. I went on the Brooklyn Heights/Dumbo and Highline walking tours. Both were great. Andrew and Patrick the tour guides were very friendly, helpfull and knowledgeable. I defiantly recommend these tours to everyone.

We found Streetwise on Trip Advisor and booking our 4 hour private tour was the best decision! Dan and I emailed back and forth a bit even before the trip as he gave us recommendations for restaurants, etc as part of the planning process. Dan met us in the lobby of our hotel to start the day. During our tour (myself, husband and kids age 14 and 12) we walked through Central Park, Chelsea, SoHo, Greenwich Village ending up in Chinatown. Dan's recommandations for snacks and dim sum for lunch were fantastic. The trivia and stories provided throughout the day was fun and entertaining. We felt that the tour was a great way to introduce the kids to the city and that we were able to see things and know the background story we would have missed otherwise. Highly recommend this to anyone traveling to NY!
