I think I have been more excited about writing this review of anything else from our trip to Washington DC/New York City. We were traveling from Washington for the day and booked a 4.5 hour personal tour with Dan. Our bus was late leaving Washington and Dan was MORE than accommodating. He was waiting on the sidewalk outside our bus stop when we arrived. My wife had sent him some things that our sons wanted to do in New York. He had planned a day for us that included EVERYTHING we had asked for, plus more. I have no idea how many miles we walked that day, but we covered a LOT of ground. We rode the subway 3 or 4 times. Some of the highlights for us: we got to see the 911 memorial and hear about the new world trade center that is opening up. We went through the Winter Garden and walked around the harbor to see the statue of liberty, we went to Wall St. and saw the NY Stock Exchange (exactly during the time it was experiencing that weird Internet outage!), Federal Hall, Broadway where the ticker tape parades are held (more in lower Manhattan than I can remember!). We went to Greenwich Village and had pizza at Joe's Famous Pizza where Peter Parker delivered from in Spider man! One of our sons wanted to visit a comic book store in New York, so we went by Carmine's Comics in Greenwich. It was a huge success. We traveled up town and went through Central Park around by the Plaza and Trump Towers and ended up at Time's Square where Dan left us for the day. He gave us recommendations on what to do after he left and how to get places. I really can't say enough nice things about the day he prepared for our family. Five stars isn't enough.

Spent 10 days in NY and did 3 walking tours with Streetwise leaving from Pod 51. Each tour guide was amazing they made our holiday. We saw parts of NY we would never even have found. Its free!!! how incredible is that? Cannot recommend these tours enough they are a 'Must do'

Our guide Dan gave us an amazing tour of the neighborhoods of Queens. Not only did he have a lot of knowledge about the people and the culture but also he answered all our questions about the most diverse neighborhood of NYC. Really great tour, amazing tour guide- definelty worth a visit. Can only recommend Queens, but all the other tours are just as good for sure.
