This was a Bucket List activity! Captain Bill and his crew (Drew, Karen, Connie) all worked VERY hard to provide a positive experience for us, which was extra challenging after recent weather. The wind and currents were very strong the night we went, but it was still fantastic. I was worried about too much time on the boat waiting for sunset (they get you there early for a good spot) but they let us get in the water and swim/snorkel for quite a while, which I greatly appreciated. Apparently this ship is newer than some - it does have a bathroom which is nice. At first I was wondering if we'd see any rays - other fish seemed to come and eat the plankton the crew attracts with light, but finally they came and it was worth the wait! A HUGE ray (Gabby?) did barrel rolls right in front of us, and swam so close to me on several occasions I half expected to get slapped by her fin. The crew was knowledgeable, accommodating, and most important of all, seemed passionate about safety for both humans and rays. I'd book with these guys again.
