A guided shore dive just off the coast of Maui is the perfect introduction to scuba diving. You’ll see some of the island’s best coral reefs while practicing the basics of diving at your own pace with a small group of four people maximum, ensuring personalized attention from the guide. Choose from multiple lesson times when booking.

We will need each person's name, height, weight & US men's shoe size to ensure the equipment fits correctly.

My first dive and it couldn't have been with a better instructor and company! Michael was fantastic and made my experience a 10 star memory. Taking his time with me, teaching me the basics, being patient with my first entry into the water, and pointing out some amazing sites in the sea, it was a blast. Turtle tearing apart a huge chunk of coral, beautiful fish swimming all around, it really is amazing experiencing sea life underwater. Big bonus, in January there are whales everywhere, and in between breathes, you can hear the whale sounds, which is AWESOME! Thank you for making my first dive, NOT MY LAST!!!! :)

Gu was an awesome instructor and we had a blast! He showed us rays and eels and a sleeping turtle, feeder fish, as well as many other fish and corals.

I just started the certification process. My son, a sophomore in high school, is newly certified. We did two dives with Extended Horizons. Both dives were great. We dove from the Ka'anapali Beach Park and from the Mala Historic Wharf on two different dates. We took the time to discuss and respect the cultural sensitivity and significance of the Mala dive site. We dove with two different instructors. The gear was in great condition. The instructors were very knowledgeable and patient. They must do this every day but they were patient and level set with our comfort level as a newly certified diver and a diver on the path to certification. In particular, Gustavo (Gu), was great. His enthusiasm and dedication put the new diver at ease and gave the certified diver opportunities to test his new skills. Gu was a great underwater guide pointing out sea life through sign language and an underwater slate. I also need to mention that my teen dropped or forgot his sunglasses in Gu's truck. Gu went out of his way to coordinate the return of the glasses.
