The highlight of our Monument Valley experience was this 3.5-hour tour with Don (lucky for us it was just our family, and we got a great guide, both in his knowledge of the valley, but perhaps more importantly in his personality and life experiences). We got to see the normal stuff on the 17-mile drive ($8 per person), which is amazing, but Don also took us to parts of the park where only guides are allowed. We saw incredible rock formations and Anasazi pictographs, a Navajo woman taught us how she makes blankets from wool, and Don taught us a lot about his culture and ancestors, which was the most special part of the tour. Thanks very much Don!
