The crew were wonderful. However.. the website for the "Morning Reef Snorkel" specifically indicates that the tour would "...begin in the pristine waters and the vibrant reef of the marine sanctuary at Kealakekua Bay, near the Captain Cook monument." This is what led us to book the tour. However, after boarding the boat we were informed that the boat would NOT head to this snorkeling location. Instead, the trip visited two rather bland snorkeling spots near the airport, with neither much variety of fish nor coral. First-time snorkelers may have found it worthwhile. We did not. We DID see two different species of dolphin and some small beaked whales afterwards.
Overall, not recommended if snorkeling is your primary interest.
